Time—
flies so fast.
Now I’m older, maybe wiser,
and I wonder about the past.
Now—
I’m coming back,
with a world upon my shoulder,
holding tight so I don’t crack.
Waves—
kiss the shore.
Our carved names still remember
who we were before.
Now—
the nights feel calm,
and the city that once owned me
fits inside my palm.
And I can’t wait to see my daddy,
squeeze my mom into a hug,
laugh together with my brothers
like we did when we were young.
Inhale the air of memories,
feel the peace as I roam,
and know that I’m
finally home.
