|| Maybe Tomorrow ||
I thought we were out of the dangerous part,
That there was nothing that could hurt us now.
But then I pushed your love away,
The same old story on replay.
I thought it was you, then I knew it was me,
Because love affects me like that.
No matter what I do, I lose,
So I hide in my excuse.
I thought I was real, but I couldn’t reveal
That I’m lost and so messed up.
So I walked away and closed the door,
Just like I learned to do before.
I thought it’d give me back what I lost over time,
But even I don’t let myself back in.
And I can’t get you off my mind,
I’m chasing peace I’ll never find.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll know what to say,
And maybe I’ll make it worse.
Maybe somehow you’ll choose to stay,
That’s my blessing and my curse.
But now please let me go and help me learn what I need to grow.
And maybe tomorrow—
If we take it slow.
